Vegan Perks 1st Giveaway! Elianni Foods Review and Giveaway (five winners)!

I am so excited to have my first giveaway courtesy of Elianni Foods!  Elianni was kind enough to send me all their vegan foods to try that  included Veggie Cutlets, Vegan Pate and Veggie Rolls. I was so excited! After you read the review, please remember to enter the giveaway below! Now, let’s get to the goodies!

The first thing I tried was the vegan pate. It came in 5 different flavors: Mushroom, Zesty Apple, Peppercorn, Red Pepper-Olive and Vegetable.

First, I have to start by saying that I was a little hesitant about trying pate. It sounds like something I should be eating at a wedding  and my first thought was that it was going to taste like cat food. Not that I would know what cat food tastes like but you know what I mean. Well, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! The pate was awesome and it didn’t have a strong taste at all. It was really mild. That is why I liked it the most. The Peppercorn was my favorite!

Up next was the Veggie rolls. The flavors were: Mediterranean, Tomato, Fine Herbs, and Mushroom.

I actually prepared the veggie rolls by sauteing them and by putting them on my salads. I liked sauteing them more because it just added more flavor to the dish. I liked the Fine Herbs Veggie roll the best. Speaking of sauteing…

I cooked up the veggie cutlets according to the directions which, by the way, which were very easy. After that I sauteed them with some vegetables, garlic, some of the veggie rolls and put them on top of potatoes (picture below). YUM! I wouldn’t recommend eating them by themselves but cooked with other things they take on that flavor and have a great “meaty” texture. It’s a great meat substitute.

Over all I was very pleased with all the Elianni foods. The pate was my favorite! I would definitely buy it. You can check out all the Elianni nutritional information and products HERE.
